erlang-edoc software package provides Erlang/OTP module for generating documentation, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install erlang-edoc
erlang-edoc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the erlang-edoc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep erlang-edoc *
You will get with erlang-edoc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
